Like I've reached a certain age and this is pretty much how it is going to be. Not in a negative way but that all of a sudden you just see the young people and and realize that you have spent so many years waiting "to make it" and thinking about the future but now you decide how important it is to live in the moment? It's like the years have flown by.

I am 57, I feel that there is a lot more ahead on this journey of life. I have much to learn, much to discover and much more to give, I can't wait. Life is still exciting and interesting for me

I had to answer this question because of my avatar's name (Life's Journey).

I know you are not being negative - you are trying to be realistic and in the moment - that's fine.

There is no wrong or right way in life's journey - everyone has to find their own way. If you feel that you want to live in the moment rather than working towards some future goal - then that's what you need to do now. The main thing is that you feel life is worth living and making the most of it since "the years have flown by" as you wrote.

As far as I go, I believe I will be on a journey until the very end - until my last breath because there are so many challenges in life and I will never succeed in all of them, but I have to try to do my best.

Yes the years fly.....My philosophy is that the journey begins at birth, and ends at the grave......The destination, to an atheist, is the grave, to the religious, eternity....We can get tired in the journey, or frustrated in the journey, and pull over and park......But why?.....The road ahead is a road never traveled before. Who knows what beauty, or special things are just around the next curve, or over the next hill......We can stop and live for the moment, like stopping for a good meal, and to relax, or the visit or enjoy something along the way,.....But invariably, we "crank up", and are off again, to discover and enjoy the things we have not seen or experienced before.....I stop and live for the moment, but I cast an eye at the horizon, and wonder what is over it....The journey has been so good, that I plan to continue going one more mile, until I reach "my" destination, where I can look back, and say,"What a great journey it was !!".........

Not yet, at 57, I still have a lot of adventure in me. I am finding along the journey, I've been having too many pit stops, but again the life does and will go on. But the years have flown, that is why I want to hurry up and do what I want to do!

In some ways, yes I do feel that I've "reached a destination" in that my life is settled and quite comfortable, no longer full of stresses and worries about the future. But on the other hand, life remains an adventure, and I am enjoying every day , and looking forward to the changes that may come along in the future. Life is great, and its much better than the alternative.

You never know what is ahead. I have had some major changes in my life when Ieast expected them. I have not reach the destination yet and as long as I am breathing the journey continues. I try my best to seize the day every day in some way. Life really is a box of chocolates.

I think it is incredibly important, if you want to count, that you leave traces during your life. Biologically, I see my continuance in my child; I AM - my parents. As one has died, and one is on the way out, I realize this more and more. Time does pass exponentially faster as you get old, and that's okay, as long as you keep doing good things that affect others positively. Your life will have been worth living.

Nope! The destination is when I join my husband in the bio-degradable urn. For now for me the journey continues and I can't wait every night to see what the new day will teach.

I have a long way to go on this journey yet. And I hope to have a very long adventure on the way. We need to stay busy and yes time does fly faster these days.

Nope. It's still and adventure, still the journey. Just a different stretch of terrain along the way.
