Leave it, I only make my bed if I know someone is coming over and there is a chance they might go in my bedroom. Other then that, its just an endless pointless task as I am going to mess it up every night anyways. No, other house hold chores cannot be said the same for. You have to do your other house hold chores other wise your house will start to stink and you will be going to the bathroom on a pile of dirty clothes rather then in the toilet which you probably wouldn't want to sit on anyways.

I only make it about once a week when I wash my sheets and blankets.

I don't air the duvet by throwing it over the window sill, like most people in Switzerland, but I do leave it turned back and open the window for about 20 minutes before I make the bed.

I used to make it as soon as I got out I makes the room look cleaner.

But Hubbie now works nights so he's climbing in as I climb out.

Now Its hard just to change the sheets when some ones always in the bed much less make make it up!!

A bed should not be made up straight away. The blankets or duvet should be folded back in order to let the bed 'air', and moisture and sweat accumulated during the night evaporate.

i sleep on the sofa or on the floor - why waste time making a bed?

now if i had a really beautiful partner then i'd have reason to sleep on a bed as it would be shared.

i think i'd make it in the evening cos i'd take great pleasure in making sure that everything is just right!!

On the days I work I usually just leave it until it is all messed up from my honey fighting the bears while he is sleeping. On the days I am home I try to make it as soon as my honey gets up.
