I simply love GIVING...it brings me such joy to see the happiness on another's face. However, let's be truthful...it also brings me joy to receive and recognize how much someone else thinks of me and cares for me...and I'm not just talking about gifts. In recent days I have received SUCH support and 'luv' from people I have never met and it brought tears to my eyes of gratitude. :-)

i think giving is such a gift in itself. and the sad thing is many people take not the time to receive it. when we give someone a gift that they aren't expecting...or even when they are expecting...the time and thought and care that goes into that should radiate to the receiver. the giver is -even in a small way- impacting that person's like. and there is nothing better than the feeling of being loved and respected and adored.

I am a giver by far. I love to see the smiles on folks face when they get something that they are not expecting to get. I have always been taught that it is better to give than to receive. It does make me happy to give and especially if it is something that I have made.

I would rather give. I love to see other people happy, but I
wouldn't mind receiving once in a while.

I'd rather not recieve. As for giving, I try to keep it down to cans of Dinty Moore stew I keep behind the seat of the truck to give to down-and -outs I see around when the mood strikes me.

Yes I do. I'd rather give any day. I always see something someone else would like. I really like wrapping the gifts too!

I would rather give. Such lovely thought from all the other posts, I surely cannot add anything else.

I love to give (not only at Xmas) and consider myself a kind and giving person. But ....I do like to receive also. I like knowing that someone cares enough about me to give me something. I like when my grand and her friends invite me for pizza with them, I love it when one of my kids sees something with a hummingbird and gets it for me. A neighbor sends her son to rake my leaves. These things show that I am important to people. And if we are honest, that's what we all want."To be important to someone"
