Like Jodie the first thing I thought of was the song My name is Luca (I love that song). So I thought it was a girls name but if it was pronounced Luke then I would say boys name. Either way I like it.

It's a boy's name! I'm a teacher and have taught a couple of boys called Luca.
A couple of "famous" males called Luca are: the character on ER who's married to Abby; the boy in the Suzanne Vega song who was a child abuse victim.

It's a very common name for a boy in Europe. I can't imagine anyone thinking it would be feminine. There are 4 Luca's at my son's Kindergarten alone, all of whom are male.

Luca to me is masculine because when I was a junior there was an exchange student from Russia and his name was Luca.

I know of an Italian footballer (guy) called Luca Toni, so Luca most definitely sounds masculine to me...
