We read with disgust that 'The private detective who vowed to bring Madeleine McCann home by Christmas has been working on a different case.Francisco Marco, head of Spanish agency Metodo 3, told earlier this month how he was sure the four-year-old was alive - and said he was close to returning her to distraught parents Kate and Gerry. But its now revealed he took himself off the investigation last week and travelled abroad on a separate case. A source at his Barcelona HQ said: "He has been out of the country on business not to do with Madeleine, on another case altogether."

Were the McCanns scammed big time by this bunch of vigilante 'detectives' ?

The Metodo 3 thing was either a CON on the Spaniards side or a DECOY on the McCanns's. The out of this world statement the Cr*p 3 agency made "we know where Maddy is and we are few days from finding her" -- "we will have Maddy home in time for Christmas"
I would sue the pants of Metodo 3 and ask them to produce anything in support of their amazing claims. They were declaring the case solved which induced the McCanns to come up with another £50,000 ! Deceit in my view If you want to use Babel Fish translator you can read the Portuguese version if recent developments in the case. That's what I do - read both the Portuguese and the English press.

I doubt anyone could conn the McConn's! I think they have known exactly what they are doing and have played the game well, letting the public think they are doing all in their power to find Madeleine, when they know this is impossible! Now they have no further use for the agency, what do they do? but start to ridicule them etc, maybe they are more clever than they thought and are scared they might actually get too close to the truth!

This comment got me -
"The McCanns' aides had a huge showdown with him, saying he risked Madeleine's chances of being found alive.

What a joke! I think the McSchemers did that on May 3rd or possible before! They are so detestable...

Metodo 3 did exactly what the McCanns wanted them to do, i.e. make it look as though they were looking for Maddy, try to stitch up Murat and his girlfriend to divert attention from the other suspects in the case.
They have now over done it by making ludicrous claims that Maddy would be home for Xmas, making the Mc Canns look like the idiots they are.

I read the article it made me wonder if it was a money making scam. To all you people who criticize Mccann questions you know the topic from the head line so why both to read or reply to any
