The "files scanned" figure is still zero.
What could the problem be?

stop it, reboot the PC and you will find it should run OK. Sounds like a known hiccup that occurs if you open your mail after starting the scan. A reboot sorts it out and no ill effects.

If you know your registration key, I would remove Zone Alarm Suite, and reinstall the software.
Or reboot and see if that stops the scan process.

Probably just a software hiccup, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Or, if you have not rebooted or shutdown your pc in a long time, try rebooting first.

i have zonealarm suite ..i turned off virus/spyware ...am running only firewall ...the firewall is great ..for antivirus i went with avira ...been using avira for a long time find it works better then zone and easier on system ...
