We have production company's (working title, film four) that hire independant film sets (pinewood) etc, but to my knowledge we don't have studios that function like the US ones, I believe the last of these was Ealing Studios (comedy) which went out of business many years ago.

that's all I can think of.
And Pinewood is not a film company it is an indpendent studio in which films are made by different producers.
