I am a black man who has only dating black wemon. I have been thinking about dating outside my own ethnicity. I wanted to find out about a few other peaples exp. with this good or bad.

i have dated many different ethic women and also known women and men who dated many different ethnicities. Often the urge is to date one person and assume all of them are like that when it simply is not true. I have heard people swear all ? women are dirty based on the one they dated and then another person swear just the opposite for exactly the same reason. Please do not let color of skin stop you or encourage you to date someone and even more importantly don't assume all women of that "color" are the same. Of course there are general cultural inclinations but even those can not be assumed for all women of any certain color. My wife and I are of different colors and very happy. You do need to be strong enough to deal with the way people will sometimes stare or comment. Often this can even be from her or your own family. Typically the naive men of her color will give me dirty looks and the ignorant women of my color will give her dirty looks. The good side is the people who look at us and have an expression of "hey, wow, its ok & i could be free too"

Let's see by only dating this group of women you are limiting your dating pool greatly. If you are open to dating any women with whom you share and interest rather than ethnic background you increase your dating pool. The math makes sense to me, I don't like to feel limited.
Whether dating outside of your race is good or bad is a determination you should make for yourself...YA! not the best place to find a definitive answer because the neigh-sayers are doing so out of ignorance. Just do what makes you happen, keep in mind we as people are all essentially the same on the inside, it's our outsides that differ but that isn't a bad thing because what if everyone looked exactly alike?

definite, as a rely of certainty dated from the two my ethnic and non ethnice gropus. the guy i'm at the instant seeing isn't mf my ethnic team, completely. Wer're the two mixes. i replaced into married to somebody exterior of my ethnic team. I

Ethnicity could include other blacks...particularly in Africa, where there are hundreds to thousands of ethnicities.
But you might want to read the article below.
You should date anyone who will love you and make you happy, the skin has nothing to do with that.

Dating outside your race is great,you learn alot about other cultures.I'm also black and have dated black women all my life,until i met a wonderful Asian women.She help me grow in more ways i could ever imagine.I learn so much about her and her culture,we bonded so well we started a business together.So dont limit yourself date other races.Good luck.

Am asian bangali and i only go out with black boiz because i like the bad boy type of boys which is no good for me but the longest realtionship i had was with a mixed race boy now am on to polish and cypiot boiz i no it weird and i dont really fancy asian boiz well i do but not want to go out with them hey that how it is in north london i think you might like it i mena my asian friend they only go out with asian and dont think it nice to go out of it by the way am 16

"Ethnic group" means sub-race. Irish, japanese, or Nigerian are ethnic groups... NOT races. Race, ethnicity, culture, nationality, and language are ALL mutually exclusive.

Why not try dating someone because of your interests instead of color? This is what I did with my husband.

I'm Hispanic and have dated and married an Anglo women. Whenever we fought she shouted racial slurs at me. It really hurt. I will never date anyone but women of color from now on.
