Neither, a verbal thank-you is sufficient.

I think you've asked a question similar to this before, so I just want to make the point that since you seem to be uncomfortable with the idea of kissing him as a thank you, then you probably shouldn't do it.

Just say "thank you very much" and be on with it. Also, if you don't feel comfortable, you probably shouldn't accept rides from him anymore. Personally, i would only accept a ride from a married man if it were someone I were very close with, or if I were extremely close with his wife.

I would probably just say thank you, maybe a hug but that's it.

But that's just me. There are plenty of people who do a kiss to say hello and goodbye as a normal, routine thing....it doesn't mean anything.

My rule is never kiss a married man w/out his wife present. Regardless of innocence. A simple Thank You will suffice.

IMO, no that's not appropriate. A simple thank you will suffice for a stranger. A handshake if he really helped you out alot. I wouldn't take it further than a hug if you are good friends with the guy.

Thank you.

How difficult is that?

Don't play with fire by kissing and making out. You wouldn't kiss someone of your own sex for giving you a ride home, right?

Say thanks without touching. Simple. Personally, I'd never get in that situation, unless he was with his wife or another guy dropping me off.
