hey, i have been on the patch continuously to stop my period but it came this month and has lasted for the entire month. has anyone else had this or such a long period. i mean, i am not really sure what i should do next.
there seems to be a lot of advice about long periods and many suggest getting on bc, but what if you are already on it?

You should not be on the patch continuously, period. It's not a good idea. If you have had you period for a month, that's probably why. Your body does it to get rid of the old lining and keep itself clean. There are also some side effects associated with the patch such as blood clots and increased chance of heart attach (another reason not to be on it continuously). Three weeks on and one week off. Skipping periods occasionally is okay, but expect some degree of break-through bleeding. Good luck.

Personally I would change methods. Go from the patch to the shot or to the pill. This is solely from personal experience, the patch messed me up but good. There is a good chance the patch is throwing off your hormones which is causing the period. Call your doc, talk with him about options. Not everyone can use the patch, you might be one who can't.

I have never been on the patch but have had this bleeding issue before with being on the pill continuously because my body was trying to adjust to the medication.

I've talked to some others who have used the patch continuously have this problem as well.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
