Both in their prime? I'd go Favre.
2007 version I'd go Brady.
I think people tend forget how great Brett Favre was in his prime. He was throwing for 33 to 39 TD's before the NFL made it so you can even breathe on a WR. Favre's receivers were never great, and up until this year neither were Brady's, but when you compare the stats of these guys in their primes, with comparable Wr's Favre owns Brady.
Both are great QB's don't get me wrong, but Favre in his prime is greater than Brady in his prime.
Former Packers GM Ron Wolf always says the one thing he regrets is not surrounding Favre with more talent.

this is a tired question, the debate will go on and on so ill say this if tom brady plays the same amount of years as farve his stats will be better but he already has 3 superbowl rings to farves 1 so they will both be in the hall as great QBs i dont like to choose........farve and brady are both great thats enough.

Brady Hands Down. You Won't Have Favre For Much Longer While Brady Is Still 30. That Could Mean Another DECADE. Or More If He's As Gutsy As Ma Man Vinny. Plus Brady's Stats V Favres Kills. Don't Bother Bringing Up This One Again... Tom Brady Is The Man.

Brady 3 Super Bowls = 3 rings
Favre 2 Super Bowls = 1 ring
Brady looks to be 3 Quarterbacks all in 1
Joe Montana - for his ability to read the whole field
John Elway - for his ability to keep a team in a game for a last minute drive
Brett Favre - for his longevity , Brady does'nt get hurt , like Favre they both can take a hit and bounce right back up .
put them all together and you get Brady

Love Farve, but that doesn't mean much. He just doesn't have the receivers like Brady. So you are comparing an unreal, false, fantasy situation. Irrelevant to reality. Fairy tales and dreaming.

Favre and anyone who says Brady is kidding themselves. No way would they take Tom Brady over Brett Favre....that would be ludicrous.
Then again...maybe I a reading into the question. I assume we are talking about an NFL Football team right? That is what I am basing my answer on. Now if we are talking about a Powder Puff type league...I can see why some people would take Tom.
