What is the real reason Michael Jackson wanted to become white? I heard it was because his color or a skin diaese.
My brother,my mother and I were talking about it and neither of us had an actual answer.Can anyone answer this...with the REAL answer

His father pushed the idea of perfection on them since their youth. In the society that he grew up in, whites were considered most successful in America. It was a psychological downfall from then on.

the skin color part could be partly about the skin disorder, but the extensive plastic surgery hints that it may be more. I saw on some show before that someone's theory was that he didn't want to look like his father (they did an age-progression thing from a childhood photo of him-- like they do with missing kids--and without surgery, he could've grown to look exactly like his dad), probably because of the abuse or whatever went on when he was younger. Either that or he just didn't like himself and wanted to be someone else.

I saw this show that talked about what his life has been like and the people theorized that he made his skin that way because he didn't want to be like his father who traumatized him so much.

He has Vitiligo, it's a skin disease and it's something he can't control he doesn't want this to happen to him, he said "I am a black American and I'm proud..." If you want proof that he has Vitiligo then go to youtube and type 'Michael Jackson's vitiligo' or something like that and believe me you'll find pics.
