The bathroom fan vents through the loft and out of the eves of the house. The tubing is 10m long and water condenses in it and drops back out the fan (which can't be a good thing!) I think I need to install a water trap close to the fan -does a commercial product exist? Are there any better ideas?

As above, use insulated flex hose, keep it flat close to the fan so that moisture can't run back, and /or fit a trap. Xpelair XCT100 http://www.applied-energy.com/_products/getpdf.php?rID=1647

Lag the tubing. Because it is cold in the loft the steam condenses out in the pipe. If you lag it, it will still be steam when it reaches outside.
The pipe needs to be kept warm, so, better, ensure it is under the exixting loft insulation.

raise the tube at the fan end, this will prevent flowback of water. also helps if you run the fan for a few minutes after you have turned off the hot water.
