You always should tell the guy if indeed you are pregnant. You should talk about things such as marriage and pregnancy beforehand. If you want a guy to get pregnant by and not marry him you need to make sure he wants the same thing. I can tell you from experience that guys do not like to be played from women. Especcially just so that the woman can get pregnant. Its important to tell the guy. If you do not want to marry him and do not want anything after just getting pregnant with his child then I would suggest you go to a sperm bank etc. I have seen to many men hurt because a woman took advantage of the situation just to get pregnant. I could never do that to a guy. To me the guy has an equal right to the child as the woman has to the child. Which means if your pregnant by him and not married to him then you either live with him and the baby or he has a right to visitation of the child whenever he wants. He has a right to see the child as well and take the baby on trips etc. Tell him.

IF all you want is a sperm donor, and you dont want to pay the fees, and you go around picking up suitable guys and having unprotected sex with all of them, then i guess no you do not need to tell them you are pregnant.
However, if in the process they ask you something like are you on birth control and you lie to get them to not use a condom then morally that is wrong.
No guy wants to end up in a sitution where he gets a letter in the mail saying "pay child support, take a paternity test" and then wonder who the hell you are and try to remeber the events of that one night stand.
if the guy is your boyfriend, then yes you should. Otherwise your relationship is just weird.

i guess its up to her weather she tells him she is pregnant or not, but in the end its best if she does because the father of the baby does have a right to know. im pregnant also and im not married yet, i wanted to be married first but it didn't happen that way. i don't regret it tho, as i will get married next yr when i don't have a big hugh belly lol. good luck

I don't think she NEEDS to but I personally would. I mean if you were a man don't you think you would want to know if you have children? It would be so painful to find out one day that you have a 20 year old child and you missed out on their entire childhood. I think the right thing to do is to tell him, not just for child support reasons, a lot of fathers DO want to spend time with their children and be involved.

is there a reason why you would not tell him, heaps of females do do it, you just cant name him on the birth certificate and then you would be unable to claim any child support with out going thru the DNA process, it is just like a 1 night stand and falling pregnant, but you would have to do it alone

Yes....he had a part in making the baby and he has a right to know that he's a dad. Plus, the child deserves to have a father, too. If he doesn't want the responsibility.....tough.

she doesn't have to if she chooses not to but that doesn't make it right whether you be the women carrying the baby or the man who helped create the baby both have the RIGHT to know because it takes two to tango and you are both the parents and everyone deserves the right to know they have have a child on this earth. those women you don't say anything are just as selfish as those men you choose not to have anything to do with thier child xo

Morally I think the father has a right to know, but I don't know if she legally has to tell him. I suppose she doesn't if she is quite happy to go it alone without help and child support.
Crap thing to do to the child though. Every kid deserves to know its parentage.

umm yes....it is his kid and regardless of whether she wants him in that kids life or her life he has every right to know. That would be very selfish is she didn't and morally wrong. Not getting married i could handle but he at least needs to know about his baby!
