Yes. You can have intercourse during a period. It's messy, tho. I would suggest putting a towel underneath you. I never actually heard of anyone getting pregnant while having intercourse during the menstrual cycle (a.k.a. period). The most fertile day is day 14 into the cycle (average cycle is: 28 days).

Here's how to find out when to get pregnant or not (depending on what you want the results to be):

The first day of the period is the first day of the cycle. You count down to day 14 and that is when ovulation occurs. The "only" exceptions is when someone has irregular periods. The most fertile days are day 12, 13, and 14. If you don't want pregnancy to occur, do not have intercourse on those days. That is the best way to "not" get pregnant.

That's right, sexual contact, or orgasm rather (hers genius, not yours), actually alleviates cramps endured by "Aunt Flo." So now, not only will that "headache" crap fall on deaf ears, but women can't even use physical menstrual pain as a defense against the greatest act of all.
Less Risk Of Pregnancy
Notice I didn't write "no risk?" Well, that's because there's always a risk, but it's less likely that she'll fall pregnant whilst menstruating, whereas mid-cycle (12 to 17 days between the Crimson Tides) is the riskiest of all.

hi,
it is better not to have intercourse during menstruation.i am not that sure about it!but its better not to have intercourse at that time.already a woman undergoes some problems during menstruation, then why still a man has to trouble her!? its the time that a woman has to be relaxed and take good diet to keep her healthy! and there is no chance of getting pregnant by having sex during menstruation.

Don't have unprotected sex even if you are on your period. It is OK to have sex whilst you are on your period,, but its not worth risking falling pregnant TBH.
