I love unique and semi-strange names :) Considering my families names I had no chance lol...My mother's name is Arabella and my sisters names are Avia, Cordelia, Ophelia, and Tiadora

Do you have any pretty names that follow along those lines

What do u think about these names:
Aleera, Cassia, Portia, Rozaline, Rosamund, Quinlan, Ardis, and Lyra

Which do you like the best?

I love your mom's choice of names for you and your sisters ! Very beautiful !

For the names you posted..
Aleera I don't like.. I think of leering, which isn't a great attribute.
Cassia is very pretty.
Portia is very pretty.
Rozaline is ok.
Rosamund is okay.
Bottom line with these last two is people are going to end up calling her Rosa or Roza... which isn't interesting at all.
Quinlan is okay, though it sounds to masculine.
Ardis is good.. not my favirote but good.
Lyra is okay.. I'm assuming you'd pronounce it as Lee-rah.. and so I think you'd hvae the same issue of the leering issue.

So out of all of yours.. I like Cassia and Portia the best. =)

Here are some other suggestions, that may be up your alley??

Artemis, Persephone, Rowan, Veruca, Sylvana, Amora, Renata, Gaetana, Delphine

I would consider Portia, Aleera and Cassia but the others are not really very nice compared.
Lyra reminds me of Lycra and Ardis just doesn't roll off the tounge very well.

well my name is luka and i always thought that it was pretty unique. i've still never MET anyone with my name tho i know there are some out there. and i named my son Xander which i think is at least semi unique. out of those i like lyra. when we didn't know whether our baby was a boy or girl yet i had suggested lyra as a girl name but he shot it down. and yes it's because of the golden compass. i was obsessed with the books growing up. but now there's a movie so it won't be unique for very much longer because it's been exposed. out of those i like

Aleera and i like Ardis a little too.

Your name isn't so strange, but didn't your sisters have to constantly spell their name for people?

Rozaline is the only good one.
I think of Fat when I hear Portia

Oh i love the names portia and cassia, but I know two people named cassia, so I guess it's not that odd of a name.

I was thinking your mother liked Shakespeare... (Cordelia and Ophelia)

I like Lyra and Portia... (Portia is another Shakespearean name)
More ideas along those lines... Katherina, Bianca, Celeste, Celina, Ursula, Titania, Luciana, Lavinia
