The following equilibrium will occur, but lie largely to the left:

2NH3 <-----> (NH4)+ + (NH2)-

Definitely no hydroxide ions - and no nucleophilic substitution!

Methylbenzene is a non polar solvent. Nothing much will happen except that there might be a small amount of product of an SNAr reaction being formed
