Peter Berg directing a new version of Dune. Is there any reason to think it's not gonna suck?

The David Lynch version is considered Sacriledge by many fans. Sci Fi Channel did a mini[series that some think was better, but let's face it: It was made on a shoestring budget.
Do you think Berg can do it justice???

He might be able to pull if off if he doesn't try to cram the entire series into one movie but break it up like "Lord Of The Rings". That's one of the main things that ruined the original movie.
