Am I a horrible person If i don't care about the well being of a person...?

who has a back alley abortion. Whenever I read a question about the possibility of outlawing abortion somone always brings up the well being of some woman who would go to extreme lengths to have an abortion wether it was legal or not. Am I really supposed to care about the well being of a woman or girl who would put herself at risk to illegally have an abortion? I really don't. No one cares when a junkie dies of an O.D why would that be any different? I know I sound like some cold hearted ***** but honestly what do you think?

Nah, sister. I agree with you. why can't these women adopt their babies anyway? they act like they are the victims when they are slaughtering their own flesh and blood.

What do I honestly think? I do not think you are a "horrible" person. I think you are infantile.

I do not think that you are motivated by any moral sense at all, but are outraged and secretly jealous that someone who is "supposed" to suffer (like a woman with an unwanted pregnancy or a drug user) instead seemingly "gets away with it," and perhaps even has more fun than you are having -- or at least, this is your secret fear. You are afraid that those who transgress and are supposed to pay for it are instead having a better time and a better life than you are. You think this way because you are infantile. Completely and utterly immature.

A mature person knows that the only people you can be jealous of are the ones you don't know.

Whether you do or don't care about other people's suffering doesn't matter much. People like you may think you have an impact on the world, but you don't. No one in a position to make serious decisions on public policy issues would ever listen to you. Your views are discounted because they add nothing to the discussion. But you do have a right to have those views. You are not obligated to care about other people. So go ahead and think whatever you want, and feel -- or don't feel -- compassion for others. It's your free choice.

You have no compassion at all when someone with problems you can't even imagine is injured or killed as a result of those problems (in reference to the addict dying of an OD as well as the abortion victim)? I hope you aren't in any profession that is supposed to make a difference and don't consider yourself a compassionate person. True humanity consists of caring about others ESPECIALLY because we are all morally fragile and can all make mistakes.

You are a whack job. you should feel for them they are human and they are somebodies sister or daughter. People who OD does have family and they care. You are young and selfish and have not lived life, where there are real problems. Everything in life isn't black and white. Don't judge until you walk in another man shoes. You got some issues.

it's compassionate to care. it's love for our neighbor and love is the greatest commandment of all.

i am opposed to fornication, abortion, and heroin. i suppose other drug addicts are referred to as junkies as well. i'm also opposed to animosity. but it's the behavior i hate, not the person. i don't want to see anyone suffer, but i will not applaud their lifestyle just to pacify them either. i will not say, give them the condom, abortion or needle to keep them safe because they are theones behaving irresponsibly. but i will also not pacify you by saying you are right. you're perpetrating hatred.

Most of these girls who would have those kind of abortions are most likely going to be prostitutes and druggies so no one would really care if they or their child dies.
