Peace and quiet with as much rest as possible. Also follow any instructions given by his doctor.

Homeopathy-Arnica pellets by mouth, and Arnica oil or ointment externally.Available at health food stores in the area, or at a homeopathic doctor if needed.
I had to answer this even as a layperson, because I've had a major concussion, and these things greatly relieved the pain. The narcotics prescribed for me were useless, but this stuff was wonderful, with no side effects.
Take good care and use ice or whatever other precautions the Dr.'s said, this is nothing to take chances with.

He needs to be on bed rest. Did they state if he has any injuries to the brain? Did he have any fractures to the skull? I did read he has a concussion, and they state that you need rest for that.
It is to bad you are not near him because he will need someone to care for him. He should not be caring for himself right now.
And how the heck did he get hit twice? Was it on purpose?

1. think possitive
2. minimize movements
3. tell somebody to call paramedics
4. you cant be sure if there is an internal brain injury until ct scan is done. if there is a possitive brain injury, he has to be in the hospital bed for a couple of days, he will be given some IV meds to lessen the signs and symptoms

just watch out for post concussion syndromes like-headaches, light and sound sensitivity, memory and attention problems, dizziness, difficulty with directed movements, clinical depression, and anxiety. Symptoms usually peak 4 to 6 weeks after the concussion, but may go on longer, some even lasting a year or more. if he experiences these,go see your doctor immediately..

There's not too much you or he can do except to take it easy. You can help by watching for any weird neurological signs like strange eye movements, slurred speech, combined with nausea - if this happens, he needs to get back to the ER. Otherwise, you can probably help best by making him comfortable - maybe get some videos or play cards, or just hang out.

What instructions did the ER doctors give you? My suggestion is to follow those. Keep him awake as long as possible and when he sleeps make sure you can awake him. If you have difficulty doing this call an ambulance right away.
