They're mythical creatures.
Originated in Puerto Rico in the township of Canóvanas, numerous sightings locate him in the United States, Central America (Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala) and South America (Brazil, Chile).
The species would dwell underneath the soil in cave-like structures whose origins and makeup are currently unknown. Other pretends that they come from the future or a 5th dimension

It depends. Originally, the Chupacrabra was just an acclaimed preadtor who preyed on sheeps, leaving them dead with distinctive punctures and sucking them dry of blood, it's possible, if unlikely, that such a creatue exists in the wild. Now however, the story has been so sensationalized that the Chupacabra is borderline mythology.

It's not real. It's just part of the popular culture in Latin America, in the same way as Dracula is popular in Europe countries. National Geographic's Is It Real? has concluded that the chupacabras do not exist. Watch it :)

well, it's supposed to be just a story, but scientist just found the remains of a new creature that fits the profile, and they named it the chupacabra, so i guess so.

at first they were supposed to be a mexican myth but in the late 1900's goats and cows were found with 2 holes and drained of blood so noone really knows
