You have already taken the first step in admitting you have a serious eating disorder and must make every effort to help yourself. Please know that you are worth saving and love yourself enough to make a doctors appointment and ask to talk to the doctor yourself.Sometimes it is to talk freely with your parents in the room..Unfortunately parents are in denial when their children have issues. They seem to think it only happens in other families. If your parents won't listen to you keep checkingout your options.Do you have a close relative or friend to talk with?I'm not sure about binging but I think it is connected with emotional problems . Long term binging can result in many serious health issues.I do not think you can fight this battle alone and you will need the support of your family and friends. If nothing else call a teen hotline ,who will assist you and offer you more information on getting the help you need. This is a confidential service.Check your yellow pages for a number in your area.I hope this is of some help.Do not give up.Take care.

Lulu,
I would find help... I know how parents can be... mine ingored me and my problems too.
And I know that it's really hard to stop on your own.
I can't understand why a Doctor of all people wouldn't try to help you though.
Is there a teen hotline you can call, or anything like that?
as the AA say, the first step is to admitt that you have a problem.
Mine was cutting myself.
your's is binging.
It'll take time, but I can promise that you'll make it through to the other side.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help, good luck

you have a type of eating disorder....it is caused by your brain making you think that it will make you more attractive. Something in your brain has gone wrong basically to make you feel like you have to do it to be more petite. Don't let you're mind fool you about what a healthy image is, you know you are not healthy.
You HAVE to go to a psychiatrist and may need some medication...but for sure , get help. You're body needs its vitamins and nutrients

You are trying to fill an empty space in your life. It doesn't matter what you are binging on , food, drugs, alcohol, shopping, sex. You need to sit down and really examine this situation and find out what it is that you really want that will fill the void. Look inward. All of your answers are inside. What is it that you really want?

Firm determination within will stop it. Help from without seldom results in lasting longer.

You need to practice self control. You must stop because this could have devastating consequences. Make sure you stop yourself before you do it again.
