If I were an aspiring artist/painter, I would start a business where I could create and frame my own artwork. I'm sure there are a lot of people that would like to see one of my artworks displayed on the walls of their homes/apartments. Once word of mouth got around enough, I could expand my customer list to include doctor's offices and law firms, businesses, hotels, hospitals, banks and other institutions that would like a picture in their office/room. If I could do portraits, maybe I could send a few fantasy portraits to a new strip club just opening. I would charge by the medium (watercolors, pencil crayons, oils, from least to most expensive, and for solicited projects for a client, I would also charge for every 15 minutes of work. That's a way to be a well-fed artist.
