It means you're probably smarter than 80% of the population. Dry humor comes off as serious: the facial expression doesn't change, the tone remains the same, and there's no laughter on your part at the end. It's not understood by a lot of people and can be mistaken as rudeness.

It means that you don't tell outward "jokes." You're sarcastic, deadpan, hardly changing facial expression. Sometimes it sounds like you're being a smartass. If you watch Family Guy, the dog, Brian, has a dry sense of humor.

have you ever seen the MTV show Daria? Go to YouTube.. Dry humor...or Bob Newhart in the 80s...dry humor...sarcastic jokes or if youre really dry, sarcastic undertone in your sentences with a hint of humor in them..but youre voice is generally serious when youre saying it too..drrry....

example: my friend was talking about her stepdad,

You don't see the funny side of life You take things serious.
But, it does make you a bad person, you just miss out on a lot of smiling. I have the problem of seeing too much humor

Well most people take it to mean you arent funny, but i take it to mean they arent smart enough to realize your funny. Instead of fart and sex jokes you probably prefer political or sarcastic puns.
