Didn't I already see that movie a few years ago? Or was it called Alien (as in one alien) vs Predator or Predator vs Alien? It was about a predator put an alien on Earth in order to hunt it for sport...and the people just got in the way for both of them...snacks, so to speak?

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem~~Obviously, the mutated chestburster from "AVP" has multiplied to cause major problems that can be solved only by a Predator, unless that Predator was transferring creatures to hunt or some such other notion.
Actually, people expected the Aliens to get to Earth since we saw "Alien". I think Dark Horse did an "Alien"-based comic that had a grownup Newt battling the creatures. I've never seen copies but have heard about it. Perhaps I heard wrong.
"AVP" says that both species have been here for many centuries. Now, it's modern-day people who must deal with the Aliens.
"AVPR" won't be alone in wreaking havoc though, not from the films I've seen advertised. Perhaps they think that people might be in the mood for something non-Christmasy. Of course, they are aware of the upcoming release of "Cloverfield" and likely hope that they can make oodles of money before its Jan. 18 release. Who knows the ways of selling movies? It remains a puzzle for the most part. After all, "Gremlins", set at Christmastime, was released in July.

This is the sequel to the movie you're talking about. Apparently the fight between the Aliens and Predators has spilled out into a small town somewhere. It actually looks a lot better than the first one.

1) This is part two (or the sequel)
2) It opens Christmas day, becasue nathing bespeaks the holiday spirit than killing and maiming

AVP-R is filmed in colorado? more lively than first? as both speicies land at same time... opens december 25th christmas day!!!
