The game clue is a lot of fun. You first separate the deck of cards into the 3 categories: people, rooms, and weapons. Then, you shuffle each set, pull out one card, and put it into the envelope. Then, shuffle all of the cards together. Deal out the cards to the people who are playing and then start the game. Mark off your cards on your list. You roll the dice to move. When you make it to a room, you can make an accusation based on the cards you have and the cards you have marked off. When you have it narrowed down to one person, one weapon, and one room, you make a final accusation.

The twist is that you can only guess the room that you are in, so if you want to get across the board to guess a room, it can be difficult.

Hasbro, the company that publishes Clue, has rules for almost all of its games on their website, and Clue is not an exception. You can find the rules at:
http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=ps_results&product_id=9622
They are on the right. Click on the link that says "Instructions", underneath Learn More. They are in .pdf format, so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader or something similar to open the file.

Here's a link to a PDF of the rules from the 2002 version of the game, courtesy of the good folks at Hasbro.
