i just turned 20 a couple days ago and some close friends and even some very close family didn't wish me a happy birthday. i have facebook(who doesn't) and i know that my friends/family saw that it was my birthday, but made no attempt to wish me a good one. luckily i have great friends. aunt and uncles didn't call. i mean even people i dont talk too wished me a happy bday on facebook. i almost want to treat my cousins/ "close friends" as if they were dead. hell, i even got a call from my uncle, i thought he wanted to wish me a happy bday, but instead wanted me to come over and help him with his computer.....do i have a right to be mad?

You have a right to feel what you are feeling.

Just try not to take it so personal.

If your expectations weren't met, try to set some ground rules about how you will let other's actions effect you.

You're 20...grow up. It's nice to be wished a happy birthday, but it's nothing to get mad over if they don't. Now if you were younger than 16, you could get mad. Heck, I could care less if I never got another Christmas present.
Some would say you have the right to be mad, but shouldn't you be grown up enough by now not to be?

You do have a right to be upset. But, don't treat others the way you want to be treated. Just bring it up casually, say "wow being 20 feels, great. Why didn't you call?" GOOD LUCK!!

You do have a right to be mad though..

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

you've got all the rights to feel sad. but, if they are happy not greeting you, then let them be! just pretend not to be upset about this matter. actually, i do not know what to advice you.

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY! =)
