Oh my dear....You are NOT alone. I love love love love the Monkees. My favorite one is Mickey Dolenz though when I was a child it was Peter Tork, I used to write him letters although I did not know how to truly write yet. I own every single one of their sitcom shows and also Head, thier movie. NO you are not alone, but I was beginning to think I was.

I loved them when I was in the 2nd grade (1968). In fact, I had ballet classes on Saturday mornings and I so hated missing my Monkees and the Banana Splits, that my mom finally made me make a choice.
Yes, I gave up ballet lessons for Peter Tork (my favorite Monkee at the time) and the rest of the Saturday morning gang.
Nowadays, hearing their music certainly makes me nostalgic... but no, I don't just "LOVE" the Monkees, anymore.
I like them, to be sure.... I just don't "LOOOVE" them. :-)

I bought my ticket for that Last Train to Clarksville going past Pleasant Valley.
I still have one of the early Monkees song sheets. It isn't mint condition though.
I grew up watching them. I like their music and I'm glad the NewMonkees flopped.

That is because you are alone and must be old too. I thought I was getting old but WOW. Never did like the monkees and thought they monkeyed around. But they were too busy singing.

They were really fun! I loved their spirit. Their show had the best intro ever! My friends and I tried walking that way a few times.
