Because its not illegal where she lives.

He's 19, she's 16. If she was younger, it'd be illegal, but she's not.

I mean, in Florida, you can be 26 and be with someone thats 16 or older, and its not statuatory.

Doesn't make it right, but three years is better than ten.

Word is he is only 18. I think I saw his birthday as 4/29/1989. And hers is like 4/5/1991.

That stated, it appears that this is not a case of statutory rape. It apears these kids are less than 24 months apart in age. Under Louisiana (where she is from) and California (where she resides while filming) statutes she is able to consent to sex with Casey.

With a older sister like Britney who gets pregnant when obviously she and her hubby are not ready, what would a younger sister think ? She problerly thinks getting pregnant is no big deal. Older sister not setting good example for her.

She problerly wants the sex too. I don't feel sorry for any of these gals, I feel sorry for the unborn child and britney's kids. They are irresponsible women !!!! Who never spared a thought for their child. They just think of their own fun !!

The age for consent is 16 in most states. Kansas has a 4 year age difference before any type of legal charges could be brought, plus, it was her boyfriend. If she won't testify they don't have a case. I don't see them going after her because being a dumb blond isn't a crime.

Beacuse around the world other then stupid america with its highest teen pregnancy rate as they are too pathetic to teach sex ed and acknoweldge the biological reality that people that age are likly to be fully sexaully active.

Would see 16 year olds being sexaully active as perfectly normal and blaim the parents for not getting her on contrception, not providing emergency birth contiorlmor giving her proper sex ed

I think some are saying this. But I heard they like the guy and he ask to marry her. This is very high profile. She is a celebrity so that is a different world.

Maybe the hope is that the father, who is only 19, will not be in jail but will actually be there to help raise the child.

Didn't she say something about not having sex if you're
not ready for a kid??

Maybe they're not doing it because they realize that Britney's
sister was also part of this and she allowed it.
