No, it hasn't been proven yet. But many have strong feelings about this subject.

Bonds has never failed* a MLB-administered steroids test.
* That we know of; the original, 2003 testing was kept anonymous, but approximately 90 players tested positive.
We do, however, have his purported, leaked grand jury testimony -- which no one has ever refuted, and for which a lawyer has gone to prison for leaking, so we can presume veracity with high confidence -- in which he claimed he did use steroidal products but without knowledge of their nature. Since I won't cherry-pick the testimony, I accept both the usage and the plausible deniability of Bonds. So, yes, he used, and there's no meaningful room to dispute this. His claimed ignorance, however, is the basis of his current indictment -- the feds think he lied about not knowing, and have filed four counts of perjury (lying under oath, which the feds REALLY don't like) and one count of obstruction of justice (pretty much the same thing in this case). Realize that Bonds, Giambi, Sheffield and the others were granted immunity in exchange for their testimonies, so they cannot be prosecuted for any potential controlled substances charges that might have arisen to that time (late 2003). But that immunity does not extend to perjury or OOJ charges. Hence where Bonds is now, legally.
So "proven guilty" isn't the right choice of words here. Bonds used some steroids, and we know it, and he's not in legal trouble directly because of that.

No, he has never tested positive for steroids. Although he has stated he took "the clear" he also stated he didn't know what it was. But keep in mind, that steroids don't make you a great player. You have to have some ability to hit or pitch. They just build muscle. Now with that extra muscle, you could pitch harder or hit more balls into The Cove.

Yes, Barry did "take" steroids. However, the sticking point is that he told congress, "I did not KNOWINGLY take steroids". There have been several tests that have proven that he has taken them, but it was before they were banned in MLB.

"abusing" is a subjective term but he was proven to have used steroids. he said he didnt know what he was taking. right. the pending case against him has more proof that he did in fact take steroids but and his lawyers will once again claim that he didnt know that he was taking steroids. im sure he will get off but the tests speak for themselves.

His tests listed BB were positive in the BALCO raid. He admitted using steroids but says he didn't know that that is what they were. He just took what his trainer gave him. Sure.

MLB has never got a positive test out of him, but there are rumors that there are some positive tests at balco or something like that.

He basically admitted it once, but claims he didn't know they were steroids at the time (he says he thought it was flaxseed oil).
