Where would I go to find more info on this bill? My grand father gave it to me and I am curious to know if I should have it in a safe deposit box or a sock drawer?

My guess is that the value is in the hundreds of dollars if the bill is in "very fine" condition and in the thousands of dollars if it is in "uncirculated" condition, but that is only a guess. In "poor" or "good" condition it might not even be worth $100.

Error notes (freak notes) are harder to evaluate than others because the supply and the demand is lower. You probably want to show the bill to a member of the Professional Currency Dealer Association to get a more acurate estimate. Go to

to find a member near you.

Do not touch it with your fingers...

Put it in a plastic sleeve with white cotton gloves on and take it to a coin show...look for a paper and currency dealer...
