That is a hard one. Seems if we meddle in their affairs, it will only escalate. It is sad what they are doing. They even make gays live in fear over there. That is a real shame on all sides with Iran. They have been doing these things for decades. Don't think anything we try will stop them.

EDIT: Jennifer H - women also live in fear in Iran, not only homosexuals. Any woman can be raped, then victimised further by the state.

Who's "we?" Americans? Why does the burden always fall to us? That's not to say I'm not sympathetic to the situation - it's simply that the Iranians need to be the ones to make changes. And actually, I'm very hopeful they will.

In Iran, and other Islamic countries, the government and the religious leaders are the same. You have to change the religious thinking or destroy the religion.

hmmmm, I have seen so many Iranian college students come over here, sexually assault our women and be gone before their case ever hits the court system....
At this point, I am hoping that the lefties in this country and their NIE report have angered the Israelis enough that they will take care of Tehran or, at least get the worse of it started for us.

We don't . It (mostly) doesn't work anyway. Most younger Iranians have a positive attitude of the US . That will continue , as long as we don't screw it up .
The bigger question is " How do we stop Fox News from corrupting the minds of Americans ( with undue fear)?" ;D
