I feel like people should leave Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears alone. The media has, I'm sure, done a lot of damage to their lives, and it's just disgusting at this point. Don't you think it's time to leave the two alone?

and I've never been a fan of their music or their shows or whatever, it's just they're humans, just like all of us, they make mistakes, just like I know I've made mistakes and I'm sure each and everyone of you have made mistakes before.

I think it's high time all celebrities were left alone. It's like, they are just people. Sure they are good actors, rich, married to other celebs etc. but they are just people. Great you can act better than me. I can program a computer better than you! It's like sheesh, why make actors celebs? Why not make secretaries celebs? It makes the same amount sense.

Yes - because I agree with you that the media has practically ruined both lives. It's time to leave those girls alone and let them heal and try to learn how to live as normal lives as possible.
No - because a lesson is needed here for all the young girls who looked up to them as role models. Drinking and partying hard, getting pregnant too young, leaving home to tour heavily without good supervision, getting "caught up" in all the media and celebrity attention are what brought on the downfall of these 2 girls. If their fans can see that this sad and preventable scenario is caused by celebrity excess and a dangerous lifestyle, perhaps some of them might take notice of the warnings and mimic a more healthy lifestyle.
I feel for the Spears girls. 2 young lives have been totally torn apart, and all for "stardom". Sad sad sad.

They put themselves out there in the media, not the other way around. Britney calls the media to tell them exactly where she is going to be and when. She changes outfits several times a day for that purpose.
Jamie sold her story to OK magazine for 1 million dollars.
I think it's time the Spears sisters left the media alone and stop damaging their own lives.

YESSS!!! I personally dont think Britney is REALLY as bad as the media makes her sound. And poor Jamie Lynn...anyways yes, people need to leave them alone. Obviously the family is going through enough hardships without the media exaggerating everything and making stuff up!

If everyone stopped tuning into TMZ, Entertainment News; stopped buying tabloid magazines; stopped clicking on these topics on the web, there would be less demand and the media would stop reporting this "news" about the Spears sisters, Lindsey, Paris, etc. They're feeding the public's hunger for this type of information whether we like it or not.

Well, hey. They know that whatever they do will be put in the news the next day. Knowing that, the real question SHOULD be: Why do they do that crap in the first place? If they wanna sleep around and party around and stuff like that, it's their perogative, but as far as I'm concerned, they caused their own fate in the media. All do respect, it's their fault for doing this. Sorry, but it's just true.

I think that the two of them should leave the country for awhile, maybe they should go somewhere quiet. Jamie Lynn is an idiot for getting pregnant at such a young age at such a bad time for her family (Britney's issues..) and anyone who thinks of them (either of them) as a role model needs to reevaluate their role models and get some new ones who don't shave their head bald and have drug problems.

i agree, they should. the media should stop obsessing over celebrities in general. yeah, they can pretend to be other people (acting), they can make music, write plays, whatever. but that doesn't mean they are any better than anyone else, it's just their job. it also doesn't mean people should stalk them day and night. just to get a picture. it's ridiculous. have you ever stopped and watched the non-listings portion of the tv guide channel? it's sickening. they (and the rest of the media) make it seem like celebrities are glamorous and fabulous and better than everyone else.
seriously, who wants to get chased by random stalkers with cameras, get every private aspect of your life made fun of and told to billions of random people? it's their job. just because they act, sing, dance, or whatever, doesn't make them any more or less of a person.

The media has done a lot of damage to their lives? Are you kidding me? The media didn't spread their legs to get them pregnant. The media doensn't make them do stupid things. The media isn't the reason Britney doesn't take care of her kids.
The media covers all their stupid white trashed activity. It doesn't cause it.
