You get to eventually leave a cult that loosely bases its beliefs on the bible, yet contradicts it by proclaiming that 'their' book is just another testament of Christ.
Bible indicates that anything other than what is in the Bible is not from God, but from the devil.
The clearest example of this idea is in Galatians 1:6 ¶ I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Paul clearly tells the Galatians that if anyone is teaching *anything* other than what he taught them, it is wrong. Isn't it interesting that he says in verse 8 that even if another message were delivered from "an angel from heaven" that the Galatians were not to receive it. (Joseph Smith claimed that an Angel delivered the Book of Mormon to him.)
Jude 3 states that the gospel was "once delivered for all the saints." What we have in the Old and New Testament is all there is to know about God's plan for mankind. Books such as the Book of Mormon ("Another testament of Jesus Christ") are not from God. As I pointed out above, Paul said there wouldn't be anything else.
As for the leadership, don't get me started......does Merovingian mean anything to you Mormons???? Go look it up and gaze upon your false prophet.
