Grass standing back up after being stepped on. Clouds moving across the sky. Everything about nature makes me smile because I know that it has been able to outlive every circumstance that has been thrown at it and gives me strength to try my hardest to do the same.

A "cheese moon". When the full moon looks like a ball of yellow cheese. A rainbow, a small doggie face looking out of his masters car looking intently at the direction he last saw him go into.

My cat makes my smile on the outside when she jumps on my lap and messages my belly with her paws.
I smile internally when I stand outside on the front porch when it rains. I remember my grandfather who now lives in another part of my being, and I think about the innocence of my youth.

Waking up in the morning and knowing that my children are nearby and that they love me. It's the simplest thing in the world but it makes me happier than anything else. :)
