Messaging is not the same as AIM
Aim is a seperate program from America Online that can be turned on and off, and you say costs $3 a month. They charge you for the program and for the data time.
Text messaging is supplied by the phone company, receiving text messages is free, and they can be received any time. the company holds them if your phone is off. Text can be sent from another phone or from the USCC.com website, although the phone can't send to the website. You can get unlimited sending or 15 cents each, or completly blocked so you don't run up the bill.
