Okay, here's the deal.. I got a positive pregnancy test at home Wednesday morning and Wednesday night, I began bleeding so I thought maybe I was miscarrying since the pregnancy test earlier in the morning said I was pregnant. Well, I went to the ER that night and they did a blood test which said I wasnt pregnant. Ive heard that it was possible to have your period while being pregnant and also to have a blood test come back negative and still be pregnant. Could I still be pregnant since the home pregnancy test said I was pregnant even though the blood test said negative?

The blood test is usually very accurate, however, if you have low HCG (pregnancy hormone) levels, it may have shown a false negative. I would certainly wait until after this period (by a few days) and try the home pregnancy test again.

I think the blood test is more sensitive and accurate than the home test.
