"The basic characteristic of this revolution, which distinguishes it from other movements that have taken place in Iran during the past hundred years, is its ideological and Islamic nature. After experiencing the anti-despotic constitutional movement and the anti-colonialist movement centered on the nationalization of the oil industry, the Muslim people of Iran learned from this costly experience that the obvious and fundamental reason for the failure of those movements was their lack of an ideological basis."

Get US out of ME. and every thing will be fine ? don't need all these fancy stuff ?!
Hey What happened to Uncle Ben ? He is my favorite conservative, i vote for him only .

Edit: Thank you Sir, learning all the time.

Yes the Iran ruling party is fanatics but they are also old, and they are being replaced as we speak by younger generation, Iran has 35,000,000 under age of 30, that is 50% of population. And they kind of dig our ways. Let's not antagonize them by our unfriendly postings? Not yours, you are perfectly OK. But you know what i mean.

Best Regards.

Gherd : Sorry i got little off track answering your good question ! I have answerd so many bad ones. it has made me little reactive. Thanks.

Good question. I would say "islamism" has a complex duality to it.

It is both a call for solidarity between muslims on an ideological basis, and a vehicle to defeat colonialism and enemies.
Politically, Islam has served greatly as a tool of population manipulation and diplomacy, but for the way of life as stated in the qur'aan, it would also simply make sense to develop a constitution around Islam, which allows for the sustainability of Islam.
I'd say what you're reading the constitution is a good example of the nature of political islam; but when countries such as Turkey can function at more than 90% muslim with a secular government, it leads me to believe there's more of an ideological foundation, rather than a political one for Iran.

Whether Islam as a whole is merely a vehicle for diplomacy and politics we will never know, just as we'll never know for Christianity or Atheism. Just fight the good fight and cheer for the home team, because we'll never comprehend and we'll never find the courage to make the right decisions.

Don't think so.
Has nothing to do with others.
Just own creation with blunders and slip-ups with human errors created with self lack of knowldege in kicking the butts of God.
Luke 9.55-56
Getting kick on the butts as casualty of the dead Mummy in not worshiping God in climbing up the coconut trees and still look green with lost sense of direction and purpose of life without being aware of the creation of the "Last of the mohican" in own backyards.
Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49
Until children unconciously transmiitted an image of "Jihad" on what went wrong out there.
With one from Saudi Arabia too to stop further damage being done to the children in own backyads. for the good of mankind.
Luke 8.10,17
What do you think?

This represents nothing more than the directives of the ruling religious fundamentalists that are running that country and their primary goal which is to destroy all that is not Islamist in this world and revert all to the auspices of Sharia law.
