If you're talking the Chicago-area "Bozo's Circus"...the dog who helped read the jokes and riddles viewers mailed in was Cuddley Dudley (first seen on WGN's "The Ray Rayner Show" in the Sixties and Seventies but moved to "The Bozo Show" after that show's namesake host retired in 1980).
