I am this 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and i am scared that when the baby is born i will have to eventually leave the baby with the fathers family. He is a drug addict. His family is really supportive and good people. He is not a bad person either but he always tries to get clean but it never lasts for more than a week and i can never believe him. We are obviously not together and i need advice on what to do for the future, to prevent having to leave my baby with the father without going through court. Or how i should even go about dealing with this situation??

You will have to go to court if you don't want him to ever be alone with the baby. You can't just make that decision and assume he'll be ok with it. Get it on the record that he has a drug problem.

Your going to have to be hard this is your baby the most important person in your life and i wouldn't want to leave my child with a drug addict father or not tell him until he gets clean and proves that's hes clean then you always want some one else with them. He should understand and you never know it might be the push he needs to get clean.

Good luck and do the best for your child.

Why did you end up with that kind of guy at the first place??
Try to convince him to stop..
Don't give up..
But at the same time.. try to place yourself and the comming baby to a situation that will not get complicated..
