it does say shake well on ketchup packets. its irony that i go on yahoo while i just happen to be eating a late dinner. a burger from in and out. but it does at the very bottom on the back side in small print.

The ketchup packets are small and if you shake it or not it wont make a differnce. You can shake them cause they are so small.

Because, ketchup packets have no air in them so they dont turn liquidy. And plus, everyone squishses them around in their fingers before they use them. (at least i do)lol
