Not enough detail to the question. I certainly think that unless he was physically hurting you, you should have not done that. I wouldn't start your relationship off with physical abuse. If he was hurting you then I'd get the hell out of dodge. No one should be beaten on.

If he deserved it, no.
But.. if he didn't deserve it and you want to have kids with him one day then I would suggest you apologize and lay off hitting him in that spot.
