My dad's stereo is producing NO sound, whatsoever. The radio and cd player work, you can see the cd track playing normally, but for some reason, there is NO SOUND whatsoever.

There are 4 speakers hooked in, and none of them work...? The wires aren't the problem, because if something was disconnected, they wouldn't ALL stop working...

Any help would be great. It's just a basic stereo, nothing too advanced.

Please help!

Check the function button on the front to make sure it isn't turned to AUX or something. If you're playing a CD, it should be turned to CD.

black cord in the black clamp, red and black in the red clamp? is it set on CD not tuner, does it work if you put it on tuner at aLL?? SPEAKERS MUST not be connected properly I would think. Keep trying, ask your 10 year old brother they ususlly know.
