I ordered 3 McChicken sand's and in the middle of my 2nd sand. I found a 1inch long bone that was about 1cm wide and i chocked on it -scratching the back of my throat. I took the bone to show mcdonalds and they refunded my money. I didnt fell as if that was enough. I went and talked to a lawyer that handles some of our families cases and he pretty much laughed and said they would probably pay my medical bills and maybe give me $150 for my trouble. Should I persue this further or leave it alone as it is?

You absolutely do. These answers that people gave you are ridiculous and ignorant. The same thing happened to me but it was in the Chicken Selects and I choked and lost control of my car. I immediately reported it to the manager and asked for the corporate number. I was given the owner's # of that particular McDonald's so I called and left a message, and of course no response in 2 days. Which I wasn't surprised. I contacted my extremely experienced lawyer immediately and he told me by all means I have an action and so does my friend in the car. I had a fear of losing my life by choking and losing control of the car, emotional distress, and my friends action is fear of her life while I'm driving off the road choking. This is clearly a severe problem of quality control in this billion dollar company. It's ok to find sharp chicken bones in your strips? I think not, and so does my lawyer... and I would guess McDonald's would'nt think that is proper either. Give me a break! I would not want this to happen to anyone else. It's horrible, painful and devastating. Never will I trust McDonald's again.

Some of the answers are wrong. You did not settle the case when you accepted a refund. Also, the case would not be against the supplier alone; if you want to pursue McDonald's you can, or you can go after the supplier. Most attorneys would go after both and let them sort it out. Obviously, I would go to a different lawyer if your laughed at you.

Are you incapacitated from your lack of chewing your food?

Give the lawsuit thing a rest.

Don't people understand how lawsuits work? Do you think there is a magic pot of gold at the end of a rainbow for all the money awarded in lawsuits? We all pay for it.

Wouldn't be a suit against McD's, it would be a suit against the company that makes the chicken patties. And no, it's not worth the time or money.

Your lawyers' fees would probably end up making it more expensive and damaging than if you had just let it go. Don't pursue it, it's not worth it. There are too many pointless, wasteful lawsuits in this country that clog our court system, don't create one more.

Leave it alone. It was a human mistake. A lawyer that handles your familys CASES? Do you people do this often?

You distinctly said that they refunded your money, as opposed to offering to refund it. Since you accepted the refund, that seems pretty final to me.

You already settled out of court when you accepted a refund.
