the other day i heard a song called rocky, a classic country one, and somebody named rocky dies in it, and im pretty sure it was a female singer, can anyone help me?

It was by Dickey Lee in 1975. Lee had a reputation for recording tear-jerkers like that.

BTW, there was also a pop version of the same song, by a guy named Austin Roberts.

Dicky Lee is the singer.Rocky was just the first part of the story, Angels roses and rain is the second part if your going to listen to both have 2 boxes of Kleenex ready
and if you like thoses you should hear patches

The only one I really remember was Austin Roberts, and his wife dies.

Dickey Lee did Patches and a string of others, but I don't recall seeing him do a Rocky song.

Dickey Lee, who also made a song just as sad ,about the death of a young girl called "HONEY"in May of 1968
