I just finished watching Alvin and the Chipmunks, and thought about this question. I'm not a vegitarian, i love meat.

I believe that would be inhumane since the animal would then obviously be sentient and would able to have self-awareness and intelligent thoughts.

They do speak, it is just that we cannot understand what they are saying.

And yes, I would still eat them. There is nothing wrong with eating animals, what is wrong is the process that goes into how the vast majority are raised/killed. (example factory farm)

If this is some vegetarian rant to make people reconsider, I only have one thing to say...

For every animal you don't eat, I'm going to eat three.

And for the record we don't eat animals that talk.. they're called humans.
