life in middle school - especially 7th grade is so hard for me!

i have these 2 great friends named .. brooke and cassie
we brooke and cassie used to be bestfriends but lately their relationships has turn very .. badly.
so brooke was done w/ this whole relationship and talking bad things about cassie. but they just hungout yesterday and now their like " bestfriendforever" thing. im happy that their friends again but it just bothers me how fake she can get.
its not my problem so i shouldnt butt in but its getting on my last nerves.
should i tell cassie that brooke talks about her? or should i not..
is this normal 2 happen to a 7th grade girl?

Maybe they worked out their differences on their own without help? that happens a lot.

Oh you could not PAY me to be back in 7th grade again! Honey, I have learned the hard way about these types of situations, and I was in one VERY similar to yours. To be honest with you, if Brooke says nasty things about Cassie - can you imagine what Brooke might be saying about you? Brooke is what they call a MEAN GIRL - more than likely, Brooke thinks the world revolves around her beck and call and she is jealous of any time that Cassie might get with you or another mutual friend and picks a fight because it puts the focus back on her. I'm sure you're a smart girl - just keep your eyes and ears open because when this happened to me - the other two girls ended up ditching ME and I spent the summer before 8th grade lonely and crying. Good luck, sweetie - but STAY OUT OF IT.

You seem very intelligent, and I think in a way, you've answered your own question - I just think you need to vent (understandable, it's frustrating!). No, it's not your problem, which is why you should definitely not butt in. Often what can wind up happening in a situation like that, is that fake people can unite over one thing - like, say, trashing YOU if you interfere! and you don't want that. So, bite your tongue, recognize that (sadly!) this is pretty normal for 7th grade (and even older), and stand back and watch. If you can speak peace - like, just to make an observation that it is so much better when people can be real, and get along..you could try that. I'm sorry! Hang in there - that is so often why girls wind up being friends with guys, because they don't do that stuff so much.

I have a daughter in the 7th grade and she sees this same thing and feels EXACTLY as you do. She asks me the same thing all the time. My thoughts on it are let the girls do their backstabbing and say nothing BUT....... realize if she does this behind her back imagine what she is saying about YOU! She sounds like shes not a great friend to have but hang in there things can change in a blink of an eye, this could be emotional issues like maybe her time of month and she is feeling a little off balance, don't let it bother you so much, I think it's normal.

i'm in 8th grade and lotsof drama like this happened like year, it's better to just keep quiet and say nothing because if you tell cassie then you'll lose brooke, and then brooke will get mad at you and start even more drama.

so for the better; i suggest that its better to just let everything fall into place , maybe cassie will realize it one day on her own [:

goodluck!!

honey, this is probably the most normal thing to happen to a seventh grade girl!
i wouldn't say anything yet to cassie but if the gossip continues, i'd throw a few things out, just to let her know what's going on.

best of luck :)

i don't think you should tell.. cause their relationship will fall apart and brooke will hate you for telling. just leave it as is and cassie will probably find out from someone else. don't put yourself between their conflict.

yeah-- totally normal. Don't get involved. They'll probably start talking about you if you do that. Eventually you will all grow up and think about how stupid all the stuff you said was when you were in middle school. No worries, dear... you'll be in high school soon and it will get better (i promise).
