Probably the media vs. the people. I want the whole story and I want to be able to form my own opinion. I don't think they should have the right to tell me their version. I thought the media was supposed to be unbiased!

Corporations + Media vs. the People

2007-12-24 16:23:18 · answer #2 · answered by elle 4 · 0 0

I don't like either choice.

I think the "left" & the "right" agree far more than they want ot admit, but some people's identities seem to be wrapped up in who & what they oppose. Rush & Olbermann for example.

Corperations live & die based on the how much business they get. That means the people have more power over them than they have over the people. They don't want to keep people down because the more people succeed, the more people can buy their product or service.

I have more of a problem with the media than anything else. But I don't want the governement stepping in to "fix" the problem. The PEOPLE need to step up & communicate with the media when they see something they think is bad for the community.

I have a problem with the "guilty until proven innocent" mentality of how the news reports on cases. In once case I am researching, the media made headline news of a reported confession, but when it turned out the confession was bogus, this never made it to the news. NOT ANYWHERE! You just stopped hearing about it!

Silly question.

The media is the people more or less. Keep in mind I am a critic of the media but I don't think that the Media and the Corps are out to get anyone.

The media has an agenda that I don't think is healthy for America but I would not lump them in with corporations which are generally are on the other side in economic terms.

One is socialist and the other capitalist.

Left vs. Right! We can't get anything done in Washington, nevermind even talking to our "opponents" about different issues. The media, these days anyway, don't do a good job of covering ALL sides of a story. A great example is Ron Paul. All they cover is the $6 million he raises in one day but not about his issues. It's terrible! Even the Iraq war is terribly covered.

Isn't that the same thing?
I mean left vs right = weak vs strong
Corporations + Media vs. the People = strong vs weak

These issues are two sides of the same coin.

The Cons own and control most of the media in our country, so when we struggle as lefties for the rights of the everyday man, we by definition are in a struggle with right wing media and corporate interests that are controlled by wealthy right wingers.

Both, and then in side the right you have moderate, the far right, and on the other side you have the extrema left and the moderate left. We like to put everyone into little categories.

Well, it shouldn't be left vs right. That is so much BS... And it gets in the way of anything meaningful getting done in govt.
