I know that holding onto it is smart, because it's something that I can't ever get back. I was sure to date someone that I know isn't going to pressure me, until he asked me what would I do if he were to get me pregnant. I'm 17 years old, and not planning on having sex anytime soon. I'm smart, and even lost the last boyfriend because he was pressuring me too much.
I'm just curious to know at what age you lost your virginity. My dad was 16, and my mom was 18.

16. Oh well i don't regret it because it didn't change the person i was. for me when i lost it it wasn't a huge truamatic moment or anything like that..i mean it wasn't a BIG deal. it is what it is. if that makes sense lol. i guess it's different for everyone. but as long as you feel that it's neccesary or you can, stay a virgin. I commend people for that..it will probobly be better in the long run!

It's going to sound stupid, but 28. First it was because I didn't think I wa ready, then I was ready but nobody was asking, and I didn't find anyone I WANTED to do it with. Then I did find someone.

If I had to do it all over again I'd probalby wait till about 21, but definately not earlier.

My brother was 18, my youngest sister was 24, my other sister was 19.

I lost my virginity when I was 18. I wanted to wait until I was married, but it didn't work out that way. But hey, I married the same guy I lost my virginity too! And here we are, 3 years later and still together!

17-Good for you for knowing what you want & thinking it through. If he really is committed to you, he'll wait.
