Besides your family. For me it is that I was strong enough to walk away from a 30+ year abusive marriage and start my life over.

I to walked out of a bad 17 year marriage (he was abusive as well). The state and my parents helped me get out of it.

Then just 2 years ago, I walked out of a 5 year relationship with a live in boyfriend that I had. I found out that he had been cheating on me from day one of our relationship with no less than 12 other women besides myself. I was always suspicious that he was doing that but he always said that I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about. Then one day I caught him so to speak with his pants down and he couldn't lie out of it, he knew that I had him. I am so glad that I didn't let him talk me into coming back to me by throwing that charm on me.

Wow!! I am so amaze with you!!

I am proud of my achievements for this year,, I've started my freshmen year as "an average" on the second quarter was a "mess" and my third quarter was now "high".. Though, I have been under character probation for second quarter, I didn't lose hope in maintaning my grades in "average",, [the character grade was from 75-79] and that was awful..but still, passed my exams..

Hope my grades will improve more this quarter..,,and finished freshmen year..

I too walked out of an abusive marriage with 1 front tooth missing, an 11 mo old and a 3 yr old. I was 23 yrs old, had no job, no job skills, no money, no where to go and nobody to help me. I left him because he beat me up so bad, I was hospitalized and the social workers helped me get a plan together.
I asked public aid to help me. They paid for my college tuition, books, babysitter and transportation.
I am now a Registered Nurse, and am more than capable of taking care of myself and my kids are now raised.
I dont think I could have stayed in it for 30 yrs. He would have killed me.
Congratulations and welcome to freedom. You cant understand our situation unless you have lived in it.

I'm proud of myself for having accomplished many things in my life. There were times that I wasn't sure of myself but my family supported me all the way. For every accomplishment, I became a more confident & much stronger person.

Me too. I never knew what peace was till he was gone. Even the dog was happier. I'll never give up this freedom. Never. Now he's going through hell with real health problems and trying to get back on our good graces . Oh well....who is in hell now? Congradulations.

Congradulation to you.
